Meditate all day
Why do so many think “I can’t meditate. My mind is too active?” Because meditation is often seen as a time apart from your daily
To listen is Guidance and meditation is an intent to listen. God does not guide, because He can share only perfect knowledge. Guidance is evaluative, because it implies there is a right way and also a wrong way, one to be chosen and the other to be avoided. By choosing one you give up the other. The choice for the Holy Spirit is the choice for God.
Be Open. Be Still. Be Willing.
“The Holy Spirit speaks with unmistakable clarity. Listen in silence.”
(T-14.XI.13:1–2)
“The Voice for God speaks to you from within.”
(W-49.4:1)
“Your mind is filled with schemes to save the face of your ego, and you do not seek the face of Christ. The glass in which the ego seeks to see its face is dark indeed. How can it maintain the trick of its existence except with mirrors? But where you look to find yourself is up to you.”
(T-4.IV.9:1–4)
“Listen today, and you will hear a Voice which will resound throughout the world through you.”
(W-106.6:1)
Your willingness to listen is all that is required.
To truly listen we must want to hear the truth and not the ego. "Doing" a meditation is a way of choosing or stating your desire to hear. Do not judge yourself for being "good at it" or whether you "managed it." Simply giving the time for it is helpful.
